Where The F Are My Keys?

Okay, it's been driving me crazy since Friday. I lost my keys. I had gone to Duane Reade on Friday night and came back home. And then I go to run out on Saturday afternoon and my keys are nowhere to be found. I looked everywhere. In everything, behind everything. I even looked in damn oven. They have disappeared. So then I am like could I have left them in the door and could someone have taken them. I really don't think so. But then where the hell are they. 4 days later and they still haven't turned up. So to be safe, I'm having the super change the lock while I'm at work today. ARGH!!! It totally ruined my Saturday looking for these damn things. But luckily the super always has a copy and I also a copy at work. But still. So annoying. Otherwise the weekend was good. Ken, Karen and Erica came up to my hood to go out to dinner on Friday night. We ate at Cortina, this italian place. It was mmmmm good. And then on Sunday, I had brunch with Dana and David. They are always so fun. We tried going to eat at Eatery, but it was so packed. So we just went for the Renaissance Diner instead.

Then last night, there was some good television to be had. Prison Break is just sooo good. I am always on the edge of my seat, it's like watching a non stop thrilled movie. And I know everyone thinks Wentworth Miller is the hottest. But his brother, Dominic Purcell is the one for me. And I also had two hours of Everwood to suck me in last night. Boy I missed that show. It hasn't been on since December! And it's such a quality show. Here's hoping the stupid CW doesn't cancel it next season.

Idol tonight. Songs of the 21st century. That should be interesting....

Where Were You?

So I just got an email from mets.com about the 20th anniversary of the Met winning the 1986 World Series. Geez. 20 years ago. I am almost 30.. so that means I was 10. Geez, where have the years gone. So I thought I'd make up a fun poll titled, where were you. But just going back 10 years since my memory is kind of going in my old age. Just respond to a memory from the start of spring of each year, what you were up to:

Last year: I was still working at the soap mag, never realized in just 4 short months that I would leaving that job for a new one that I would love so much.

2004: I was still in Ohio. Yea, shocking enoughly. I moved to Ohio for a few months in 2004 when my family decided to make a move there. I thought I would check it out. Big mistake. I hated it. Moved there in October 2003 and moved back to NYC in June 2004.

2003: This is where the stupidity began. I was thinking of buying a place in NYC at the time. Which is was stupid in itself since I had never even lived in the city. So I paniced, changed my mind and convinced myself I was sick of the city and wanted a changed of locale. What was I thinking?

2002: Hmmm.. Don't really know of anything too huge then. Oh wait, my newphew was born in the late spring. That was pretty exciting. He's going to be 4 in May. That's kind of crazy.

2001: I wasn't even at the soap opera magazine yet. I was still working at Popstar! I made no money though. I worked there for 2 1/2 years and loved it. I met every teenybopper star, went on press trips, got free concert tickets. But I only made 21k a year! So I finally found a new job as a copy editor at soap opera digest. Which I would love and would be where I would meet some of my closest friends.

2000: Engrossed in the world of Popstar magazine, still living at home and just hanging out too much on Long Island.

1999: I began working at Popstar! at the start of the year. I got the job just before Christmas and started right after New Years. I loved it. Loved my boss and it was just a lot of fun. My first job out of college.

1998: Wow, the spring of 1998. What a time. I was in my last semester of college. And was excited but sad at the same time. Me and my roomie were just enjoying our last months of just party time before entering the real world. Finally.

1997: Junior year. I had finally moved off campus and moved into a great apartment with my three buds, Cara, Tracy and Heather. I had lived with Cara every year of college and would through graduation. With the addition of Tracy and Heather in junior and senior years. We had some great parties at our pad. But it kind of sucks in the spring when Tracy and Heather turned 21 since my birthday wasn't until June and Cara was a year older. Oh to the days when I wanted to be older.. what a time that was as I now dread turning 30.

Which brings us to 10 years ago...

1996: I was in the midst of my best year of college. I was living in the so-called party dorms at Umass-Amherst and just living it up. Met some of my best friends and just partying it up at the frat houses! As Spring approached, me and my buds began to think about where would we move to now that we could move off campus the following year!

Wow, boy have I changed in these last 10 years. It's kind of scary. Okay, Now everyone else do this. It's so fun!

Attention FOX!

Two hours is just too long for Idol. I can't take it. By the second hour, I was just bored. Ugh. Only an hour people. There's only so much I can take. But I will admit, there was someone who made me actually saw, wow, out loud. Chris! Omg he rocked the house. And then Elliot. WOw he was great. Those are my boys. And my hottie Ace has still yet to perform so we shall see. This had better be a boys year.

Otherwise, my weekend was good. Had fun times out with Ken on Friday, Leslie on Saturday and Erica on Saturday. I am just loving living in the city.

Where Have I Been?

It sure has been a busy week. I haven't even posted. Well the week began on Sunday night when I had to work, but it was all good. I then got tuesday off in exchange. That was nice. I slept in, ran errands and then went to see Failure to Launch. And it was so cute. Even funnier than I thought it would be.

And now it's Friday already. And can I just say how much I hate St. Patrick's Day in the city. It all began last night at midnight when I heard kids screaming in the streets, who even knows what tonight will be like since I have a pub right across the street from my apartment. And then today I go out to the atm at like 1pm and it just packed with annoying people dressed in green. Ahhh. I plan to just go out to dinner with Ken tonight and then we're going to go hang at my place. First time he's seeing the place since I moved in.

I'm having lots of people coming to see the place this weekend. Ken tonight, then Leslie tomorrow night and then Erica on Sunday. Fun FUN! But I want the warm weather back. I'm ready for sandals and no jackets! Spring starts on Monday so it's almost here!

Spring Is Here!

Okay, I know it's not truly here yet. But today it's going to hit 70 degrees. I am loving, even though I know it's still early yet, and will be back in the 40s next week, but this is going to be a great weather weekend. And it is so true that the weather does affect your mood, everything is so happy today. I love wearing short sleeves with my just light coat. So nice. And I've now been in my new Manhattan apartment a week now and I am just loving it.

I head back to Hoboken tomorrow night, to the Moving Party. Me and Adena planned it when i thought I would be moving at the end of March, so none of my friends are really coming since I've already moved out. So I will just be making my little guest appearance. And then I have to work on Sunday night, but all is good, I get Tuesday off in Return.

Now, let's talk Idol. What the hell is up with keeping Bucky "I'm a fucking hick" and Kevin "I'm a fucking dork" over Gideon and Will. I proclaim my top 5 to be:

Paris
Elliot
Mandisa
Ace
Chris

I want Chris to take this thing!

Almost Two Weeks???

Wow, I can't believe it. It's been almost two weeks since my last post, that sure proves how busy I've been. Well I have finally moved. Yup, you heard it here first I am officially a Manhattanite. Moved to the Upper East side on 1st Avenue on Friday and I am loving it. And I am loving having my own place too. It's all my own, so great. The move went smoothly except for two things. They left my collectible titanic framed poster on the truck and they lost my bed frame. Apparently, they left the frame in front of my old building in Hoboken. And it was gone. After many bitching them out phone calls since Friday, they finally got their asses to my apartment this morning at 9am. And the glass in my frame had broken and scratched up my poster. I am pissed. They'd better give me retribution for it. And then they go to set up the bed frame, and only put one of three latches. What idiots. So they put it together with tough tape, but come on. What idiots!

I also went out on Saturday and bought a couch and arm chair.. As well as an entertainment center that dad put together and cool storage bench that I will use a coffee table. And today the couch arrived. It's awesome. It's a two cushion couch in a beige like color and it has a full pull out sofa in it. The chair will be in chocolate brown so I have to wait 8 weeks for that. So it's all very exciting. And now being in the city. I have soapnet again. YAY! I am offically a New Yorker again and loving it.
