Idolizing!

Yup, American Idol has sucked me in yet again, for season number 5. But come on, they need to stop with these two hour shows. It's just too much. But here are my top 5 guys and girls right now after week one.

Meredith and George!

OMG!, I love that Grey's Anatomy is so good about lack of spoilers. Meredith and George!! OMG! I was fllipping. I did not see that coming. But Poor George. Meredith is so going to break his heart. She loves Derek, Derek loves her. And I don't see him staying with Addison much longer. But Go George!

On a side note, I spent all weekend packing. And boy do I have a lot of stuff. Just books, dvds and CDs alone. ARGH! Check it out and I have only just begun.

My New Home?

Okay, so shockingly I think I found my new home today. It's on 74th and 1st. It's an elevator building with huge closets and a great living space. I can totally have a couch area and next to it a bed area and not be on top of each other. The only thing is it's a small kitchen. But it's the city. It's a little oven, a fridge and the sink. That's it, a little square. And if all crap doesnt fit in there.. I can get one of those little baker carts for just outside the kitchen. But it has good cabinet space. I'd rather have the bigger living space than lost space to have a bigger kitchen. Ya know. I'm kind of excited, but nervous too. It has high ceilings and 3 big windows. And laundry in the building! I'm like grab it, what if theres nothing better out there. And it's a pretty nice place. So it looks like I'm moving Mid MARCH! ahhh!!!!

Is this Love?

Okay, I am in a bit of a mood today. Yes, I am single and I don't have a valentine. But when the day started out, I felt fine about it. I have a great life and great friends, and one day I will meet that guy. But then I went over to Duane Reade at lunch, and the valentine's aisle was swarmed. Now is that what this day all about? A last minute gift from Duane Reade. And then on the way home, it was more of the same, the floral shop was packed. See:



And then the shop on Willow in Hoboken was so packed, people were double parking and blocking the bus. So I needed a chocolate fix when I got home, so I made some brownies. It just bugged me that I want more than that from someone not the last minute run to the floral shop. And then I walk in my room, and my roommate had left a box of chocolates on my bed. Is that the sweetest thing ever.

Okay enough of my ranting. I finally watched Grey's Anatomy last night. And I got two hours of it, since I was away in Disneyworld during the Superbowl ep. I heard that ep was just so-so. But I really enjoyed it. With Meredith and her feeling. But there was the cheesy ratings stuff like characters recapping their history and the girls in the shower. But I loved how it came full circle with the shower in the end. And can I just say. I LOVE GEORGE!!!



He was so incredible with Bailey. And she was fab as well. OMG, emmy stuff. But when he gave her that speech and then jumped into the bed to help her push, I totally teared up. It was that good. And I am so sucked into Meredith and McDreamy. I do like Addison, but she cheated on him and he loves Meredith so much. They were so tortured at the end.. but worse was just before that when Derek was looking for her, but only found his wife. I know he's trying to be noble and stay with her, but he's tortured. Luckily next week, the guy Addison cheated with arrives, here's hoping that pushes Derek to Meredith.

Whew, I am talky tonight. But just watched Idol. It was the first I've seen in over a week since I was out of town, me and my roomie loved this guy William. He was cute and so good. And my Kelly Pickler got through yeah. But that Brokeback spoof. OMG! I was on the floor! Now I'm just waiting for the groups to complain about idol again. But I want the live shows already. They start on Tuesday, the same night as Ladie's figure skating. Damn!

I am Disney-ed Out!

Okay, people that work at Disneyworld are way too chipper. After 7 days of it, we were disney-ed out. But had a fantastic time. Spend full days at magic kingdom, animal kingdom, epcot, mgm studios and universal. Had a blast, got lots of color even thought it was only like 70 degrees and just enjoyed a nice week off with ken and my whole family. But I ate way too much. Between the ice cream sundaes, mickey pops, chocolate covered apples, omg the list goes on and on. I need to get back on track now that I'm home. And boy am I glad that I had a noon flight with this blizzard here tonight. Now I can just stay in tonight and tomorrow and just enjoy the snow. It's mid-Feb and this is our first big storm.

But now I have just 48 days till I move to the city. The hunt must begin this week, mostely like next weekend.. since most stuff doesnt become available till 30-45 days beforehand. I'm hoping for the east side, either gramercy, murray hill, village or on the lower part of the UES. Here's hoping for a great new pad! I move April 1st! AHHH!

Good-Bye Hoboken!

So hasta la vista Hoboken, the time is come for me to say good-bye. Last night after working till 10pm, I return home to find a letter from some lawyer, telling us that our apartment has been sold. And we have to be out by March 31st! Holy shit. But I am kind of excited about. I'm moving to Manhattan, I just need to find the right place. And I am leaving for my week vacation to Disneyworld tomorrow, so the hunt will not begin until I return. So if anyone hears about anything. But at least, I'm not in limbo anymore. So I can just relax on vacation and will be the search after. But the part I most despise! Packing! I have to roundup boxes and pack up all my shit. Argh!

Steak Splurge!

I've been trying to be good. I know that I'll be moving in the next few months since my apartment is on the market. And since I have decided to move to Manhattan, I needed to start watching what I spend now. But last night when Karen mentioned going out with Erica and Ken for dinner at Angelo & Maxie's, and the fact that we got out before 7 on a Wednesday, I just couldn't resist. And boy was it good. Good friends and good food, what's better than that? Even if it was a steak dinner for over 40 dollars. But good steak and caesar salad. Yummy.

And I leave for Disney in two days. I am so excited. But now I am all annoyed about the weather. It's only going to be in the 60's!!!!!! It's fucking florida! I am so annoyed. I was hoping for some 80s .. let us alone in the 70s. But the 60s. ARGH! And of course it's in the 80's there this week. Well let's hope for a warmup! I wanted to wear my shorts and tanks all week! Now I am pretty warm-blooded so I will still wear capris and short-sleeves and sandals. But still. FLORIDA: WARM UP BEFORE I GET THERE!

After reading dorothy's blog about finding old HS pals on MYspace, I thought I'd check it out. And my brother was on there. How weird is that. And my pals David, Craig and Dana are on there too. How cool. I just may start up my own profile!
