Craziness

Check this out. This is Con Edison working on trying to fix the crevice in the middle of Lexington Avenue after the Steam Pipe exploded there a week or so ago. Wow, that is sure going to take a while to really fix. On a side note, my parents are arriving today for a weekend visit, so looking forward to that.

Rosie's blog

You know how Rosie always answers questions on her blog, well I was on there earlier this afternoon and it said "we're live." Meaning that she was currently on answering questions, so I said heck, I'll ask one and see if she answers. And check it out. This was just posted an hour ago! Kinda funny!

Explosion in NYC

Wow what a day, after starting a day in horrible downpouring flooding rain, who would have thought the day would have come to an end with an explosion just two blocks from my office. I left work a little before 6 and entered the subway at Grand Central. When I got off at 23rd and Park to go to the gym, I saw firetrucks racing by and I turned my head and straight down Park, I see billowing smoke around the buildings and my heart started pounding and immediately flashed back to 9/11 when I looked down 5th avenue and saw that same sight.

I then hurried into the gym and started working and flipping amongst all the news channels and I learn something exploded right at 41st and Lexington. I had just been there 10 minutes ago walking into the subway. And I walk to that corner every single day to go home. Thank the lord I got out of work early today. Otherwise it would have been a much more terrifying day. But my god, these images all over the news just bring me back to 9/11... so eerie. Hopefully the area will be back up and running for tomorrow's lovely commute.

Facebook?

Okay, I have a new addiction. The new competitor of Myspace is now Facebook.com and wow, I love it. It's much more organized than Myspace. And that made me think of what came before myspace, Friendster. I hadn't been on there since like 2004 and I went on there yesterday and tons of my high school peeps are on there. How crazy is that!

It's Hot, Hot, Hot

Summertime in the city, that is for damn sure. This is one time of year where I just hate being in the city and not being in the suburbs where people can from their air conditioned houses to their air conditioned cars without skipping a beat! People of surburbia have no right to complain about the heat. Try living in the city where you need to walk everywhere!! I just wish it could always stay in the low 80s with a nice breeze! It is especially tough when you need to relie on ol' movincool to keep your office cool! Well this too shall pass.

On the flip side, the stupid foot is finally starting to feel a little bitter, hopefully it will be better for good really soon. I just need to get back to the gym already. I haven't been since like June 28th. I must return already. I'm wasting this money. I think tomorrow shall be the day. For now, I will relax in my air-conditioning tonight while enjoying my shows of the evening: Hell's Kitchen and Big Love.

Here's to cooler days ahead!
