Well, I'm officially 30!

It doesn't feel different yet, well age is really just a number. I think this is going to be a great decade. And better than the last one. I had a great weekend even with the sprained ankle. Lots of hanging out with mom who came to visit thursday until today, partying with friends over the weekend. Mom and I went to Carmines for dinner on friday night. MMMM! I just love that place every single time we go. I then hobbled over with her to see The Wedding Singer. And who was sitting opposite me on the aisle, but David Copperfield. Randomness. The show was great. So much fun.

I rested all day saturday and we started off Saturday night with delicious fondue at Dip and then partied it up Karaoke style with more of my peeps at TG Whitneys. My pal Erica was missed since she was home in Georgia, but she was always on my mind... Wait isn't that an Elvis song?

And a viewing of the Lake House on Sunday which was a little bit confusing but I really enjoyed it. It was just so different than the typical romantic movie fare. But I definitely spent more time than I should have on this ankle. I need to rest now that mom has departed. Straight home after work, I need to get off this damn ankle. And between the injury and the damn heat, it is so swollen! UGH!

Here's me and my pals Jason and Karen partying it up for my birthday!

I Sprained My Ankle!

I am such a freaking clutz. At 2pm today I run out to go to grab lunch and I fell into some dip in the street as I'm crossing 5th Avenue and I sprained my ankle. An EMT happened to be there, took me to the hospital to get an xray and I sprained it! Of all the weekends! I finally got home at like 6:15. And now I have to stay home from work tomorrow so I can stay off it. ARGH! I am so annoyed. Hopefully it will be a little better. Me and mom are going to Carmine's and then seeing The Wedding Singer on Friday night!

My Twenties are wrapping up

It's so weird, but I only have 5 more days for being in my twenties. It's weird. But people keep telling me how awesome their thirties are. Which I kind of believe it. I believe like we are growing and changing so much in our twenties. I surely have. I've definitely grown up a lot in the past few years. I am just on the manhunt. It does bother me that I am turning 30 and I am still single. But like everyone says, everyone meets the one at different times in their life. And I have to just believe that I have to just yet to meet him. True love is awaiting me, it's just waiting for me to turn 30. :)

Come back Everwood!

Last night we had to say a sad goodbye to Everwood with the 2-hour series finale. It's so wrong that this show is not coming back. It's such high quality. And with so much other crap out there, it's just an injustice to bring back 7th Hell over this. But I totally teared up at the end. Amy and Ephram! Nina and Andy! So good. Well that's the tv season is officially over. As for potential summer shows, I will be checking out Big Brother, Hell's Kitchen, and Windfall. This show Saved on TNT sounds pretty interesting as well.

The week fly by?

Wow it's been a week already. And it's been a busy one. Went to Ohio to visit the fam from friday night until tuesday afternoon. I had a nice time except it was like 95 degrees every day. On Sunday at Ellis's 4th birthday party, we stayed inside the whole time. Except for the pinata of course, but then booked it back into the air conditioned house. On Monday, I hit the community pool at the local temple. That was so awesome. I returned home to NYC on tuesday evening, had all day computer training for a new work progaram on wednesday and then returned to the office yesterday. Whew. What a busy week. But what is up with this weather. It's non stop rain and so incredibly muggy. Yuck. And it's supposed to be like this all weekend. Fun. Fun. Only 17 days till the big birthday!
