Charlie Rocks!

I finally saw Charlie and the Chocolate Factory tonight. Oh my god, I loved it. It was so similar and so diffeent than the original. Which I just love. But Johnny Depp cracked me up as Willy Wonka. But I missed not having all the songs of the original. And the OOMPA Loompas were weird but hysterical. Next on my list is Wedding Crashers and Must Love Dogs. I needed a relaxing weekend after a crazy work week. Especially working till 10pm on thursday night. And then off to brunch with leslie and crew tomorrow. And next week, off to see fam. But now time for bed. More later!!!

Looooonnnnggg Day!

Okay, I've seriously been slacking. How has a week gone by since I last posted. Well It's been busy. Especially twoday. I was at work till 8:30. Just a crazed day and boy am I wiped. And it doesn't even feel like it's only Tuesday.

But it's been a good week. Last week was the first full week at the new gig. And I'm really liking it. The people are really cool and it's fun stuff. On friday, Ken and I stopped by for some drinks with the co-workers. It will be our last normal friday before crazy deadlines. Then headed over to Steph's parent's apartment for Melissa's Digest good-bye party. It was great seeing all my old cohorts. Even though It's been just two weeks. My girls, D and E were there along with the old coworkers. But Jody and old Digest girl Tiffany were also there. So great to see them.

Then I had a crazy subway experience trying to meet Adena and friends later that night. I walked to the subway with dorothy. But walked all the way down to her platform and then realized I had to go all the way back up and across to get the 6 lines to get to 28th Street. So I then had to wait for 15 min. And mistakenly get on the express. Ahhhh! So It took me all the way to 14th street. So then I had to jump back on the uptown train after waiting another 15 minutes. At this point, Adena's been trying to call me thinking I'm dead. Since an hour has gone by since I told her I was on my way. I finally got there at 10:15. It was a fun, cool bbq place. But subway luck sucked. When I got to the path a midnight, I had to wait another 15 minutes. GOD!

Saturday was dorothy's b-day celebration. After a lazy day, I got ready and headed to the city to meet Erica for dinner at Spice. Love that Pad Thai. Then headed over to Dorothy's to meet her crew of college friends and head over to Red Sky Bar for her bash. It was loads of fun. Hanging with Erica, David, Craig and Dana and finally meeting Dorothy's brother. He kind of had a Jesse McCartney look to me. :) But it was loads of fun. Did an awesome blow job shot with the birthday girl!! I keep forgetting I have to get my camera back from her! Sunday equaled another lazy day, heading down to the street fair in hoboken and chilling.

And tomorrow I am off to see BSB with Carolyn. I know, I know, but it should be a fun time. And then I am gonna check out Clay at the GMA concert in Bryant Park on Friday. Pop music filled week.

It's Too Hot!

This heat and humidity has gotta go. Omg, it feels like 120 degrees out and you know what it makes it even worse, the new office is hot as hell. OMG!!! I'm drenched everyday and so uncomfortable. And I get home and am so exhausted. I can't even keep my eyes open. Here's praying for a cool office tomorrow!!!!

On a lighter note, today is Dorothy's birthday!!!!!!!!! Her 24th? Rightt, doroth? What a young'un. Miss ya girl! Wow, my birthday was already a month ago. Time flies. And who would have thought I'd be at a new job within that month. I never could have predicted it! Anyways, as for the birthday girl .... Haven't seen you in almost 2 weeks! But busy party time this weekend! Let's hope it cools down by then. And 2 weeks from friday, I go to visit Ellis!

Let's Go Mets!

Yea, my first Met game this season, and they beat the Braves, 8-1. Go Mets. Sorry, Erica! But it was fun game with Braves girl Erica and Yankee girl Karen. But what a humid and sticky weekend! I love the warm weather like the next person, but please give me some breezy days. But the game was fun. I need to start to going to more than one game a year. And I would love to post the pic I took of the three of us at the game, but I am such a nimrod as to how to post a picture on here, some one must give me a lesson. So tomorrow begins the first full week at the new gig. And the big head honcho is coming in to check out how the new office is going. Must look all dressed up!

I never did get to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory this weekend. Oh well. I just had a chill weekend. Good thing because next weekend will be busy. Melissa's digest going away party on friday night and dorothy's BIRTHDAY!!! on saturday night. can't wait. And I want to see charlie and wedding crashers movies too. so we shall see!!

Tea and Biscuits Anyone?

Wow, first day on the new job today. And it was kind of funny, we were trying to finish up a dummy issue file and, theyre like no tea time is more important. how funny is that! i guess it's the british thing. but things are hectic like any new job. i think it's going to be great though. once, things get all settled and we learn the swing of things. and it's just weird not be working for digest anymore. i'll miss working with the soaps, but now i'm moving on up. It's kind of exciting. But I do miss my buds everyday in the office and knowing the flow of things. So after an exhausting day, we headed over to kenny's belated good-bye dinner and it was a lot of fun. it's been a long day. i'm looking forward to a relaxing dinner and hopefully seeing charlie and the chocolate factory this weekend! and possibly lunch with mandy tomorrow!!!

Wonderful Wicked!

OMG!!!! I loved Wicked. Me and Mom saw it on Friday night. And wow, was it good. Amazing. I'm already dying to see it again. But before we saw the show, we were in times square in the pouring rain. We popped in visiting the old popstar offices and then made our way to dinner at Piesantra. Did I spell that right? And when I walked in, I realized I had been there last summer with Erica and Ken! How funny! But mom's back was killing here. So she wanted to looking into getting an earlier flight than monday morning. So after seeing War of the Worlds on saturday, we loved it, and havving dinner at Ole and going shopping with Ken, mom headed home this morning.

And I had a nice and relaxing day today. Went and got a pedicure and then sat out along the water here in Hoboken. Boy it was steamer out today!! So now I have two days left at Digest, a day off on Wednesday and then the new gig begins on Thursday! Wish me luck!

London Attacked!

Wow, this is scary. Bombs went off on double-decker buses and in subways in London today. Another terrorist attack. And then I of course get on the PATH to come to work today. There were news crews there in Hoboken and I even saw a bomb sniffing dog by the trains. But I guess that's the world we live in nowawadays. Now our terror alert has been raised to orange. But isn't NYC always on high alert?

In the meantime, mom arrived for her weekend visit yesterday. This was when she was originally supposed to visit. When she was here 2 1/2 weeks ago for my birthday, that was a surprise. So two visits in a month, how funny. But we're seeing Wicked tomm night and I can't wait. But it should be interesting, that's when the first hurricane of the season is supposed to hit! FUN!

On an endnote, I start my new job a week from today! And the London thing is also scary because my new company is based there, but thank god, no one knows of anyone that was hurt!

What's With This Quiet Trend?

So continuing with the quietness of the weekend, today was so quiet. Ken started his new job, Erica left for vacation in Florida and Dorothy had the day off. I missed my peeps. And on top of all that, it was just a quiet today workwise. But weird that a week from today is my last day here. But I'm excited!

So Quiet!

Wow, this weekend is so weird. Just about everyone I know is out of town. So it's been so quiet. Basically just been chilling and relaxing. I guess I should take this opportunity to do tsome organizing around here. LOL. Maybe I'll get to that late. Spent friday night at grandma's. And today just chilled out in the sun along the hudson. Then hitting the city tomorrow for some shopping. Nice and quiet! But just weird!
