Such a Tragedy!
I just can't get the awful events of yesterday morning at Virginia Tech out of my mind. And to think that the second shooting could have been prevented being that there were 2 1/2 hours in between. There needs to be a better system of security on these campuses.
Columbine in 1999 was such a tragedy and that was 12 people and now with this one 32 people are dead and all because of the damn guns. Something has to be done. To think that Columbine was 8 years ago almost to the day (is that just a coincidence?) and still nothing has changed. Maybe these latest events will wake people up and create a movement for some change, something that can prevent these kind of devastating tragedies from happening again. It is all just so sad.

You want to know what would have prevented this tragedy - one good guy who shouldn't have been banned from carrying his gun on campus. If there had been one person - trained and licensed to carry a gun - he could have put a stop to it. More anti-gun laws aren't going to stop people who want to commit crimes. These people don't follow the law.
